Actress Anne Hathaway took to the stage in a nightclub for a charity event to increase awareness and newness for the NYC Public Theatre. Hathaway performed songs from the Broadway hit Cabaret. The Oscar nominee was joined by her Les Miserables co-star Eddie Redmayne for the fundraising gig, Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret with Anne Hathaway and Friends, at Joe’s Pub in New York City.

The stars gathered to raise money for the revitalization of The Public Theater, an arts organization based in the one and only Big Apple.Broadway veterans Audra MCDonald, Harvey Fierstein, Raul Esparza and Linda Lavin were also billed to perform alongside Hathaway for the concert, which was directed by Tony Award winner, Ted Sperling. Most of the stars took limo services to bring them to the charity concert where some of those services went to the charity event as well.

Ann Hathaway explained her excitement to reunite with The Public for this special night to celebrate the theater’s rededication. And to also support its mission to spread great theater to all the people of New York. Tourists from all over take limousine or car services to transport them into the unknown NYC airports and of the roaring city. The Public Theatre openly welcomes new, old and famous visitors.
